Meetings, events and travel management agency Inntel has announced that it has announced a partnership with Trees4Travel, a company which aims to offset the carbon impact of travel by planting trees. Trees4Travel offer tracking alongside an offsetting solution by calculating how many trees need to be planted to offset the CO2 for any journey. Clients can choose just to track their emissions or to track and offset by purchasing trees to be planted. A recent client survey conducted by Inntel showed that many of its clients are keeping the sustainability of business travel at the forefront of their minds whilst they take first steps towards recovery. Alongside adopting the Trees4Travel solution, there is also a demand for fewer but longer trips and working with ‘green’ accredited hotels, venues and travel partners. ....
Hudson Reporter American Legion POW/MIA Recognition Day for Douglas O’Neill Dear Editor: Pilot Douglas Lee O’Neill and four other crewmen were flying between Da Nang and Quang Tri City on April 3, 1972, in South Vietnam, when their helicopter was shot down. It has been 49 years since we last heard from Douglas. He is the only service member from Hudson County listed as an MIA from the Vietnam War. This is an annual vigil sponsored by The American Legion Bayonne Post 19 Family and will be held on Saturday, May 23rd , next to the 8th street diner, starting at 9:00 AM.
