Vietnam veteran and Glendale resident Alfred Taitano woke up on the morning of March 16 to accept his grand prize after winning the Military Star âYour Holiday Bill is on Us Sweepstakesâ at the Luke Air Force Base Exchange. A small group of service members and participants gathered for the ceremony as Taitano was presented with the grand prize in the form of an oversized check for a $2,500 Military Star statement balance. Before he received his prize, Taitano said it was an exciting moment and a great surprise. Singh, the former owner of Falling Lane Superstore, had pleaded guilty at Harrow Crown Court to 10 offences relating to selling fake and smuggled tobacco.
