Indiana Tech to get new track site $4 million donation spurs addition of indoor facility ASHLEY SLOBODA | The Journal Gazette Indiana Tech s south-side athletic complex is on track to add a new amenity supported by a $4 million anonymous donation, the private university announced Monday. The indoor track and field facility at Warrior Park, 377 E. Tillman Road, will include a six-lane competition track. An artificial turf surface within the track will allow other sports teams to use the space, Indiana Tech said. Karl Einolf, university president, described the gift as historic. “This is one of the largest donations to our university in its 91-year history, and it will help us build a facility that serves not only Indiana Tech athletes, but additional track and field athletes throughout Allen County,” Einolf said in a statement. “This donor s selflessness gives Fort Wayne a great victory. He completed the distance sweep at the WHAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, winning the 5000 and 10,000. MIDWEST REGION – Matthew Van Eps – Dordt (Iowa) Van Eps, a senior from Prinsburg, Minnesota, is ranked second nationally in the 800 at 1:49.59 and is undefeated in that event, including a victory at the Drake Relays. He completed the 800-1500 sweep at the GPAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships and has 15 total first-place finishes this season. ....

He is also second nationally in the 3000 at 8:16.29c (8:22.06f). Miller won both the mile and 5000 at the Crossroads League Indoor Championships. ....
