For Brock Cordeiro, it was a little bit of luck and a lot of perseverance.
Cordeiro, a board member on the Dartmouth Housing Authority, had been keeping close tabs on vaccine availability for his mother. He had stayed up until 1 a.m. trying to score an appointment at smaller locations such as Walgreens and Hannaford Supermarket, since they promote a low-volume approach rather than mass vaccination sites. His mother was holding out for the Dartmouth High School site since it s closer to her home, but that site was no longer receiving first doses of the vaccine. He believed these smaller sites would offer more personal attention and service for his mother.
