Delhi University s Ram Lal Anand College has terminated the service of assistant professor GN Saibaba, who is currently serving life term in Nagpur Central Prison for alleged Maoist links.
According to a memorandum received by Saibaba s wife Vasantha on Thursday, his services have been terminated with immediate effect from the afternoon of March 31. The services of GN Saibaba, assistant professor, Ram Lal Anand College are terminated with immediate effect from the afternoon of March 31, 2021. Three months salary has been paid in his savings bank account, said the memorandum undersigned by college principal Rakesh Kumar Gupta.

New Delhi: Delhi Universityâs Ram Lal Anand College has removed scholar-activist G.N. Saibaba, who is serving a life term in the Nagpur Central Prison for alleged links with Maoists, from his post as an assistant professor at the college.
Indian Express, college principal Rakesh Kumar Gupta, in a memorandum wrote, âThe services of Dr. G N Saibaba, Assistant Professor, Ram Lal Anand College are terminated with immediate effect from the afternoon of March 31, 2021. Three monthsâ salary has been paid in his Savings Bank Account.â

Wheelchair bound Prof. G.N. Saibaba, who is 90% physically disabled and has tested positive for COVID-19, has been sent back to the anda cell (solitary confinement) at the Nagpur central jail after being taken to the Government Medical College, Nagpur.
He tested positive on February 12 along with four other convicts including former gangster Arun Gawli. They were all taken to the hospital the same day. Prof. Saibaba has been lodged at the cell after being convicted of having Maoist links.
