After nearly a year without live shows, I would be delighted to hear the Skydiggers or Rheostatics at the Horseshoe, my feet sticking to the spilled-beer floors and the stink of decades of smoke saturating the walls. I miss the feeling of a kick-drum pounding through speakers like a punch to the gut, the energy of like-minded music lovers gathered together and the spontaneous joy of a band following their muse.
