Bloomfield’s Anna Morgan-Lloyd on Wednesday became the first person sentenced in the Jan. 6 insurrection after pleading guilty to a federal misdemeanor charge in exchange for three years probation, a $500 fine and 40 hours of community service. During her hearing, the 49-year-old apologized for participating, saying she feels “ashamed” of the “savage display of violence” during the attack, which resulted in five people dead. The United States’ ongoing prosecution against the Capitol rioters has so far totaled roughly 500 people facing criminal charges. Six Hoosiers, including Morgan-Lloyd, are among them.

Indiana Man Arrested for Role in Capitol Riot WASHINGTON  A Vincennes man was arrested earlier this week in connection with the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol. Jonathan Ace Sanders, Sr. is charged with knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds. Court papers say an anonymous tip was received by the FBI on Jan. 12. The tipster said that “Jon Sanders” bragged that he was at the Capitol building during the riots and was only 70 feet away from the woman who was shot. The tipster said he possibly worked with Sanders at Lewis Bakery in Vincennes.

Charges Filed for Two Indiana Men Who Stormed U.S. Capitol WASHINGTON, D.C. Two men from central Indiana have been charged for their involvement in the U.S. Capitol riots. Joshua Wagner of Greenwood and Israel Tutrow of Greenfield face multiple charges, including disruptive conduct and violent entry in the Capitol building, according to The Daily Journal. After the riots on January 6, the FBI posted a photo of Wagner in his red beanie with the word TRUMP on it. Three days later, he turned himself in. Then, witnesses told the FBI that Tutrow traveled to Washington D.C. with Wagner, and one person shared photos and videos showing the pair in the Capitol.
