HENRY COUNTY, Va. – One person died in a two-car crash in Henry County on Sunday.
Virginia State Police say 35-year-old Joshua Lee Williams of Martinsville died at the scene of the wreck, which happened at 3:25 p.m. on Route 220.
Investigators say a 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe was headed south on Route 220 when the driver lost control, crossed a median, and struck a 1998 Toyota Tacoma, head-on
Williams, who was driving the Tacoma, was killed on impact. He was wearing his seat belt.
Officials say the driver of the Tahoe, Edward Stevens, was taken to the hospital and treated for undisclosed injuries. Police say his three passengers were also taken to hospital with injuries.
HENRY Co., Va. â Virginia State Police Trooper M. Mays is investigating a two vehicle crash which resulted in a fatality. The crash occurred on Sunday, April 11, at 3:25 p.m. on Route 220, one tenth of a mile south of Route 1035 in Henry County.
A 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling south on Route 220, when the vehicle lost control and crossed the median and struck a 1998 Toyota Tacoma, head-on.
The driver of the Toyota was identified as Joshua Lee Williams, 35, of Martinsville. Williams was wearing his seatbelt and died at the scene.
The Chevrolet was driven by Edward H. Stevens, 71, of Clinton, North Carolina. Clinton was wearing his seatbelt and was transported to an area hospital for injuries received in the crash.

HENRY COUNTY, Va. – A 35-year-old Martinsville man is dead after a crash on US 220 in Henry County, according to Virginia State Police.
At 3:25 p.m. Sunday, a 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe going south on Route 220, about a tenth of a mile south of Route 1035, lost control, crossed the median and crashed head-on into a 1998 Toyota Tacoma, according to police.
Police identified the Tacoma’s driver, who died at the scene, as Joshua Lee Williams and said he was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
