The other night I posted a little ditty on Facebook, both to work through the trying times in which we live and to see if Facebook would censor me for being logical and saying obviously true things.

Democrat Texas Border County Judge Calls Out Biden DHS for Releasing COVID-'Infected Migrants'

A Democrat border county judge who opposed a state disaster declaration over the current migrant surge is criticizing the Biden Administration after news broke about the regular releases of migrants with COVID-19 into his jurisdiction.
This week, Hidalgo County Judge Richard Cortez issued a statement calling on President Joe Biden’s immigration officials to stop releasing migrants who test positive for Coronavirus.
“Ill-conceived policies by both the federal and state governments are beginning to have serious consequences on Hidalgo County,” Cortez said in his statement. “I call on federal immigration officials to stop releasing infected migrants into our community.” ....

Several Hidalgo County leaders called upon federal and state governments to help with the migrant crisis along the southern border, following a viral social media post from the La Joya Police Department.
On Thursday, Gov. Greg Abbott issued an executive order restricting the transportation of migrants infected with COVID-19, less than 24 hours after speaking with La Joya Mayor Isidro Casanova.
During their phone call, Casanova said he asked Abbott s for assistance with the migrant surge in Hidalgo County, an idea echoed by county judge Richard Cortez. ....

South Texas Police Department Issues Public Health Announcement After COVID-Stricken Migrants Seen Coughing, Sneezing at Whataburger | July 28, 2021 | (Hidalgo County, TX) The La Joya Police Department issued a public health announcement after an officer approached an undocumented migrant family at Whataburger who told him Border Patrol released them because they had COVID-19. On July 26 the police department of the small town along the Rio Grande and Mexican border shared details of the incident. They said a concerned citizen at the restaurant waved down the officer. The citizen told him about the family coughing and sneezing without covering their mouths and not wearing face masks. Whataburger management also told the officer that they wanted the group to leave as well due to their disregard to other people s health. Abbott calls for Texas National Guard to aid DPS in arresting illegal migrants

What’s a governor to do when the state Department of Public Safety (DPS) needs help arresting criminal trespassers, drug smugglers, and human traffickers crossing the southern border? If that governor is Greg Abbott in Texas, he calls for the Texas National Guard to help. Abbott is focused like a laser beam on the Biden border crisis because he has to be. Team Biden is too busy denying the reality on the ground to be of much help.
