Online food delivery platform Zomato has filed its DHRP (Draft Red Herring Prospectus) with SEBI today.
As per the filing, Zomato will offer equity shares amounting to ₹8,250 crore, of which ₹7,500 crore will be fresh equity shares and ₹750 crore will be on sale from its investor Info Edge India Limited, which will be selling its stake in Zomato.
On April 27, Info Edge India had said that it will sell shares amounting to ₹750 crore in the Zomato IPO.
Info Edge is the largest shareholder and controls 18.5 per cent in the company, followed by Uber B.V. holding 9.13 per cent, with Alipay Singapore Holding Pte. Ltd and Antfin Singapore Holding Pte. Ltd holding close to 8.33 per cent and 8.22 per cent in the company respectively. ....

Food delivery startup Zomato,backed by Ant Group, has filed for an initial public offering of up to Rs 8,250 crore ($1.11 billion), draft papers submitted to the market regulator showed on Wednesday.
Zomato plans to launch an IPO in the first half of this year, as per an internal email sent by founder and CEO Deepinder Goyal to the company s employees last year. The food-tech giant has been on a fundraising spree to fund the fresh issue, raising around $910 million from a bevy of investors throughout 2020 and early 2021. Shares of Info Edge India, which has stake in food delivery service provider Zomato, rose as much as 3.14 per cent to hit an intraday high of Rs 5,100 on the BSE after Zomato filed draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) with Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to raise up to Rs 8,250 crore through share sale via initial public offering (IPO).
The company said it intends to use the proceeds to fund growth initiatives and general corporate purposes. Top shareholder Info Edge will sell shares worth Rs 750 crore in the IPO. The company, along with domestic rival Swiggy, backed by Accel, dominates the food delivery market, which research firm RedSeer estimates is worth $4.2 billion. ....

New Delhi: Ant Group-backed online food ordering platform Zomato has filed preliminary papers with capital market regulator Sebi to raise Rs 8,250 crore through an initial share-sale at a time when the demand for its services is growing due to COVID-19 pandemic-related restrictions.
The company s revenue in FY20 jumped over two-fold to around Rs 2,960 crore as compared to 2018-19 fiscal.
The online food delivery segment has seen significant growth in the last few years with Zomato and Swiggy competing head-on to grab market share.
