The Daily Telegram MORENCI Residents of the Morenci-area community gathered virtually last week to share stories, reminisce and mourn the loss of a longtime community news source. The State Line Observer Newspaper, which has been in existence for almost 150 years and has covered the Morenci area during that time also branching out into Fayette, Ohio printed its last publication on Dec. 30, 2020. The Observer’s editor, publisher and owner David Green, announced his retirement at the end of the year, bringing along what many residents hope will be just a temporary time without the community newspaper. Green said Wednesday of this week there have not been any interested buyers in taking over the newspaper. ....
