This is the first time you have had competition for the post of Town Clerk. What do you make of that? It’s a job that I love, so I assume somebody else might want it. Talk a little about why you are a town clerk. I have always been interested in government and civic engagement. My parents were very active in organizations when I was growing up, and I learned you need to participate in the community you are living in and do what you can. When we moved to Burlington in 1983, my husband went on to Town Meeting and I spent two terms as library trustee. I was on Town Meeting after trustee. NATS announces 2021 Intern Program participants The annual Intern Program is a premier NATS offering posted on 9:43 AM, February 19, 2021 Sixteen early-career voice teachers and collaborative pianists will gather for an intensive training experience at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia, from June 1-10, 2021. The National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) has selected 16 members to take part in its 2021 Intern Program. This 10-day forum pairs experienced and recognized master teachers with talented early-career NATS members. The 2021 class is a varied and unique group, with 12 voice teachers and four collaborative pianists. Master teachers Theresa Brancaccio (Northwestern University), Frank Ragsdale (University of Miami), Michelle Markwart Deveaux (Independent Studio, CA), and Kari Ragan (University of Washington, Independent Studio) will work with the 12 voice teachers – both independent and academic. ....

This event will explore how students at Blackburn bring these programs to life while in a nontraditional learning environment. As they continue through the pandemic, the Department of Music and Theatre is creating opportunities for students to engage in their art.
