QUITO, Ecuador–After firing a final-round-low, 7-under 65 to charge into a tie for first with 54-hole leader Drew Nesbitt, Conner Godsey made a playoff birdie on No. 18 to come from behind and win the Banco del Pacífico Open Sunday. The Jacksonville, Florida, resident and Alabama native had entered the day trailing by six, in a tie for ninth.

QUITO, Ecuador –Playing in the third group that started the second round off No. 10 in the afternoon, Canada’s Drew Nesbitt was lucky to made it home right before PGA TOUR Latinoamérica official blew the horn and suspended play due to darkness at 6:15 p.m. local time. His second-round 69 got him to 9-under through 36 holes, allowing him to move ahead of a group of eight players standing at 8-under at the weather-delayed Banco del Pacifico Open.

A resident of Fort Meade, Fla, has pleaded guilty in a Laredo federal court to attempting to smuggle 149 immigrants who had crossed the border illegally, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Joseph Winslow, 54, pleaded guilty on Tuesday to conspiracy to smuggle immigrants. U.S. District Judge Marina Garcia Marmolejo will impose sentencing on June 15. At that time, Winslow faces up to 10 years in prison. He was permitted to remain on bond pending that hearing.

LAREDO, Texas – A 54-year-old resident of Fort Meade, Florida, has pleaded guilty in Laredo federal court to conspiracy to transport undocumented aliens, announced Acting U.S. Attorney Jennifer B. Lowery.
Joseph Winslow entered a guilty plea today, admitting he had agreed to drive a tractor-trailer from Laredo to San Antonio in return for $10,000.
On Dec. 30, 2020, Winslow arrived at the Border Patrol checkpoint on Interstate Highway 35 approximately 29 miles north of Laredo. Authorities conducted an X-ray of the trailer he was driving and discovered it was full of people. They ultimately identified a total of 149 undocumented aliens.
