Ray Ambrose Lusk, 80, of, Mechanicsville, MD passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 21, 2021. Ray was born on August 9, 1940 in Crumpler, West Virginia to the late Terry Ishamael Lusk and Goldie Ellen Milam. As a young man, Ray grew up in Crumpler, WV, where he graduated high school and continued his education and completed two years at Concord College, Athens, WV. After college he would go on to enlist in the United States ARMY and was a proud member of the 101St Airborne. Ray would meet the love of his life Antonia and their love would grow and together they would go on to celebrate over 55 years of marriage. Ray supported his family as an Elevator Foreman and Supervisor where he made many lifetime friends along the way. After his retirement, he loved to spend his days with his wife, children, grandchildren and the great-grandchildren. ....

(Photo courtesy of RCPD) The Riley County Police Department has recognized one of its own with a life-saving award. Officer Joseph Lusk was recognized at the Riley County Law Board meeting on Monday for his role in saving the life of an unresponsive man last November. RCPD director Dennis Butler says Lusk was quick to arrive on scene and performed CPR until EMS personnel arrived. “Following the incident, EMS staff on scene credited the quick response and initiation of CPR by officer Lusk in saving this man’s life,” Butler said. “They commented that a few minutes or even seconds can make the difference between life and death in a critical medical emergency.” ....
