The unanimous vote comes as the state is still grappling with the fallout from the deaths in spring 2020 of 76 residents who had COVID-19. A 77th resident died of the disease in December. An investigation by a former federal prosecutor hired by Gov. Charlie Baker found that management at the home made several “utterly baffling” decisions that allowed the virus to run rampant. ....
Credit: Getty Images - krisanapong detraphiphat On Wednesday, a Baltimore mother was indicted on witness intimidation charges against a co-defendant following murder charges against her 14-year-old son, according to the Baltimore Sun. 32-year-old Sierra Rose Hammond s son has been named as an accomplice in the murder of 28-year-old Joseph Betts, a homeless man who got into a fight over $1. Hammond s son was with a 19-year old co-defendant, who allegedly pulled the gun last summer in downtown Baltimore. Earlier this year, Hammond reportedly met with her son s attorney, who showed evidence of the 19-year-old naming her son as an accomplice. Without the lawyer knowing, Hammond allegedly recorded the video on her cellphone, then proceeded to share the video on her son s Instagram account. ....
