A CONVICTED drink driver who caused £100,000 worth of damage after crashing into a family home just 24 hours after his motoring ban expired has avoided prison.
Msulama Sal Chitulu careered into the semi detached house in an almighty smash that destroyed a new kitchen, buckled the garage door and smashed the front step.
Dramatic CCTV footage shows the grey Vauxhall Zafira shoot straight into the garage door and brick wall with the force of the impact so strong that kitchen cupboards were thrown open sending plates, glasses and jars crashing onto the floor.
The family had to have work done to make their house structurally sound again and had Christmas dinner cooked on a camping stove because their brand new kitchen was destroyed. ....

Driver smashed into Southampton home just 24 hours after ban expired

A CONVICTED drink driver smashed his car into the front of a family home in Southampton - just 24 hours after his motoring ban expired.
Sal Chitulu careered into the semi detached house at the junction of Oswald Road and Victoria Road in an almighty smash  causing damage to the kitchen, buckling the garage door and smashing the front steps.
Dramatic CCTV footage shows the grey Vauxhall Zafira shoot straight into the garage door and brick wall in the middle of the night.
A court has now heard that Chitulu was previously banned for drink driving in February 2019, and his ban only ended one day and 45 minutes before he ploughed into the front of a house. ....

Queen pays tribute to Dunblane

LONDON, March 17 Britain s Queen Elizabeth II and her daughter Princess Anne visited the Scottish town of Dunblane Sunday where 16 children and their teacher were gunned down last week. They met with staff from the Dunblane primary school and emergency services who were involved in the massacre and its aftermath. The queen laid a wreath outside the Dunblane Primary School where the gunman found his victims. She then visited Stirling Royal Infirmary, where five children and two teachers were still recovering from gunshot wounds. Another three children were recovering in Glasgow s Yorkhill hospital. Earlier Sunday, airports, railway stations, shops and television channels united across Britain for a minute s silence in tribute to the victims of the slaughter. More than 1,000 people attended a memorial service at Dunblane cathedral. The service took on added poignancy as it was held on the same day as Britain s Mother s Day celebration. We h ....
