This marks our first month post-Donna. That’s longtime Mainebiz publisher Donna Brassard who first took the reigns in 1999 when our company purchased Mainebiz from its founder Jonathan Whitney.

For the next 22 years her steady hand guided Mainebiz as it grew, expanded its statewide presence and garnered a slew of national editorial and design awards along the way. Donna’s planned retirement finally arrived as she marked her last day with Mainebiz on March 31.
While I’m new to the publishers role at Mainebiz, I’m not new to the company. My name has been on the masthead of the publication since 1999, and over the years I’ve been to countless Mainebiz events around the state where I’ve felt the impact we have on the community, and the responsibility that goes with it.

From May to August, Delaware Theatre Company hosts an outdoor performance series featuring performers from Broadway, Hollywood and Delaware.
Prepare for a summer like no other as Delaware Theatre Company hosts its 2020/21 season Take 2 with an outdoor performance series showcasing Hollywood, Broadway and regional performers.
“We launched an outdoor series last summer. We called it Front and Center with 10 performances,” says Matt Silva, the managing director for Delaware Theatre Company. “Early in the pandemic I watched a Dave Chappelle special on Netflix where he did a big event in this open field in Ohio, and I saw that they had spray-painted physically distanced boxes on the grass. Everyone wore masks, brought their own chairs and things like that. I thought, ‘Well, we can do this in the parking lot,’ so we did. We were able to get 58 box

Delaware Theatre Company announces tickets on sale Tuesday, April 6, 2021, for our 2020/21 Season-Take 2!, a new outdoor performance series that will showcase a variety of Hollywood, Broadway and regional performers. We are thrilled to bring this new series to our community, said Bud Martin, DTC s executive and artistic director. Our hope is to bring longtime and brand-new patrons together to enjoy live entertainment in a casual outdoor setting-in front of our theatre!
To ensure the safety and comfort of its patrons, DTC has designated 58 boxes in its outdoor seating space to accommodate either two or four people. Seating in the boxes is general admission-first-come, first-served. Audience members are encouraged to bring a chair and refreshments.
