The first batch of COVID-19 vaccines should arrive soon in Marion County and officials expect that frontline health care workers, as well as long-term care residents and staff, will begin receiving them next week. Marion on Tuesday notched 140 new COVID-19 cases and a 13.2% daily positivity rate. The Ocala City Council voted 4-1 on Tuesday to extend the city s emergency face mask mandate for a second time.
