The Australia Taxation Office has lost its chief information security officer Jamie Norton, who has called time on his three-year stint in the APS to return to the private sector. Norton, who joined the ATO in March 2018, took to LinkedIn on Monday to reveal his planned move to advisory and restructuring firm McGrathNicol. “After three years as the CISO for the ATO, I have decided the time is right to move on to a new challenge,” he said. “I am proud of the way the team has grown and adapted to the changing environment, and their tireless efforts to proactively defend one of the engine rooms of the Australian economy.” ....

Former top Victorian health bureaucrat Kym Peake joins EY Apr 6, 2021 â 11.34am Save Share  Australian Tax Office. Prior to this, he was head of cyber security at NEC. He will take up the position on May 3. Kym Peake joined EY as a partner in EY Port Jackson Partners after more than five years as secretary of Victoriaâs Department of Health and Human Services. Ms Peake, 48, left the department in November after facing the stateâs hotel quarantine inquiry. She has previously been a deputy secretary at the Victorian Department of Premier and Cabinet and at the stateâs former Department of Education and Early Childhood Development. ....
