Starting with the right way to fit and put on a life jacket, the Safe Kids San Angelo event also included an exhibit designed to demonstrate the extreme heat that can develop in a vehicle in high summer temperatures and instruction on how to perform hands-only CPR by personnel from the San Angelo Fire Department. Safe Kids San Angelo is hosting a Summer Safety Event on Tuesday, June 8 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Shannon South covered parking lot, 3501 Knickerbocker Road. This event is designed to help inform and educate parents and caretakers on how to keep kids safe while having fun this summer.
Free life jackets and fittings will be provided by Safe Kids while supplies last. Children must be present to receive a jacket and be fitted. Car temperature tests with DPS and TxDOT will be offered, as well as hands-only CPR demonstrations by the San Angelo Fire Department. ....
