The No. 5-seeded Nevada Wolf Pack take on No. 4 Boise State in the quarterfinals of the Mountain West Tournament Thursday at 2:30 p.m. PST on CBS Sports Network. It will be the first tournament game for both teams, who earned a first-round bye.
The Pack enter the game at 15-9 and 10-7 in conference play, while Boise State is 18-7 and 14-6 in Mountain West action.
Nevada swept the Broncos in its two meetings on Feb. 5-7. It won its two contests by 2-and-11 points. The former featured a game-winning fadeaway from guard Grant Sherfield in the waning seconds.

The Nevada Wolf Pack close out the 2020-21 regular season with a bout against the Colorado State Rams Friday at Lawlor Events Center in Reno, Nev. Tip-off will be at 6 p.m. PST on CBS Sports Network.
This is a makeup game for the Feb. 20-22 two-game series that was postponed due to COVID-19 health and safety protocals.
After two games against New Mexico and Air Force (both wins) this week, Friday marks the Rams’ third game in five days.

All of the minutes, responsibility and attention he’s getting from opponents might finally be wearing on the Wolf Pack’s 6-foot-2 leader. Sherfield was solid against UNLV but he continued to struggle with his shot, making just 12-of-26. He’s also now just 6-of-27 (22 percent) on threes over his last five games after starting the season 27-of-64 (42 percent) Sherfield also went to the free throw line just six times in the two UNLV games combined. He scored 15 points on Sunday with an eye-opening 11 assists in 33 minutes and then went 6-of-15 from the floor on Tuesday, scoring 18 points with four assists in 39 minutes. Sherfield, though, rarely leaves the floor because he is the team’s stabilizing force, even when he’s not pouring in points. He has turned the ball over just four times over his last four games com
