If the Ivy League cancels the 2021 season, the former Albany star confirmed Tuesday, he will move on from Yale and intends to finish his well-traveled college career at Denver. 2. Our 2021 NCAA Preview rollout continued with scouting reports on the No. 9-ranked Cornell men and Michigan women, respectively, as well as a feature on Middlebury’s Jane Earley the US Lacrosse Magazine Division III Women’s Preseason Player of the Year who is eager to make up for lost time. ....

Jane Earley felt like she was ready for a breakout season in 2020 after building confidence during Middlebury’s run to the NCAA Division III women’s lacrosse championship run in 2019. As a freshman attacker that year, she tallied a career-high eight points to help the Panthers to their 10th NESCAC championship with a 10-9 win over Tufts, then added 14 goals and three assists over the final four games of the NCAA tournament. ....

As we present to US Lacrosse members this first of two editions previewing the 2021 NCAA season, we do so knowing that it could come to a screeching halt due to the raging pandemic. As we project player-of-the-year campaigns from the likes of Yale’s TD Ierlan, Middlebury’s Jane Earley and Tufts’ Mac Bredahl, we do so knowing that the Ivy League and NESCAC won’t think twice about pulling the plug on another season if COVID-19 infection rates continue to rise in the absence of a widely available vaccine. They were the first to cancel in 2020, after all, harbingers of a silent spring. ....
