A lot of Bay Area kids may be headed back to in-person learning but the students of Pittsburg Unified won t be. The city of Pittsburgh has been hit especially hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Pittsburg School Board voted to remain in distance learning for the rest of the current school year.
According to NBC Bay Area, Superintendent Dr. Janet Schultz said a majority of families voiced that they wanted to continue the rest of the year in distance learning. The board made the decision in the best interest of the whole community,” she added.
