Bam Bam Fit for Forest Friday, 11th Mar 2005 17:35 As expected, central defender Richard Naylor has been passed fit to face Nottingham Forest at Portman Road on Saturday. The central defender had been suffering from a hamstring injury and missed most of the training this week, though he did train today. The Blues longest-serving player is sure to keep his place in central defence alongside the returning Jason De Vos, with the forward line still something of a mystery. Manager Joe Royle s squad is as predicted on Thursday. Squad: Davis, Price, Wilnis, De Vos, Naylor, Unsworth, Richards, Currie, Westlake, Miller, Magilton, Horlock, Bent, Couñago, Kuqi and Scowcroft. ....

The Finnish international is convinced he will be OK to play some role at the JJB Stadium. Royle said: Shefki certainly thinks he has a chance and we haven t totally given up on him. He will be given every opportunity to prove his fitness. But he still hasn t played football since the injury and I have a couple of ideas in my head as to what we will do at Wigan if he doesn t make it. ....
