Thousands of Michiganders were able to cut in line for the Covid vaccine after a loophole was discovered in the scheduling system. More than 2,700 people were able to book appointments before they were supposed to after a user managed to find a way to get past the vaccine priority group criteria, Michigan s largest healthcare system Beaumont Health said.
The Beaumont team determined a user took advantage of an Epic scheduling tool vulnerability and shared an unauthorized scheduling pathway publicly. This allowed 2,700 people to cut in line and register for an unauthorized vaccine appointment. Beaumont is cancelling all the appointments that used the unauthorized pathway, the organization said in a statement on Monday. ....

Missouri health officials announce vaccine distribution plan

ST. LOUIS (AP) Select hospitals across Missouri will receive just over half of the state’s weekly allocation of COVID-19 vaccinations in February in an effort to achieve consistent and effective distribution, state health officials said Monday.
The hospitals have the capacity to each administer 5,000 vaccine doses per week but the number of vaccines the hospitals receive will be determined by population in the region. Weekly vaccine delivery will rotate between the hospitals and their partners, according to a news release from the Missouri Hospital Association and the Missouri Department of Health and Human Services. ....
