Beginning on Saturday it’s the “Heart and Sole Road Race” with registration starting at 5:30 p.m. For kids 10 years old and younger, there is no registration or fee. The kids’ quarter-mile race starts at 6:15, with adults running at seven. The competition is sponsored by the Pittsville Fire Department and EMS, and Chief Jerry Minor. Minor tells WDLB radio that the highlight of the weekend will be a large parade starting at noon. He says you’ll start to see lawn chairs out the night before saving all the best spots along the route. The event takes off at noon. ....
