Coolidge was part of a loose collection of musicians & singers known as Delaney & Bonnie & Friends. She sang background for their late 60âs and early 70âs LPs which got her gigs with all kinds of people including Joe Cocker, Leon Russell, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Graham Nash & Stephen Stills. She sang lead on the song âSuperstarâ on Joe Cockers LP âMad Dogs & Englishmenâ ....
Apr 1, 2021 Jerry Lynn McGee, age 77, peacefully passed away in Orlando, Florida on March 31, 2021 surrounded by family. Jerry, the son of Alva Theron and Verna McGee, grew up in New Lexington, Ohio, and attended The Ohio State University on a golf scholarship. McGee’s professional career began in 1966 when he qualified for the PGA Tour where he won four tournaments and was a proud member of the 1977 United States Ryder Cup Team. He joined the PGA Tour Champions upon turning 50 in 1993 and played through 2005. Jerry and his wife Jill resided in East Palestine, Ohio, for 47 years before moving to Orlando a few weeks ago to be with their children and grandchildren. ....

Jerry McGee thought he might be in line for some good luck that week. He had come to the Florida Panhandle in April of 1975 to play in the Pensacola Open. One night before the tournament began, he and his wife Jill had dinner in a local restaurant. “We ordered oysters and I found a pearl in one of mine,” McGee told the Morning Journal of Lisbon, Ohio last year. “I guess that was a good omen.” It was, indeed. After opening with a 69 that left him five strokes off Andy North’s lead, McGee steadily climbed the leaderboard. He led by one stroke through 54 holes thanks to consecutive 66s and ended up beating Wally Armstrong by two strokes. ....
