The Infamous Stringdusters, are pleased to announce the second single from their forthcoming album, A Tribute to Bill Monroe, is out now on Americana Vibes. “Sitting Alone in the Moonlight” is a Monroe ballad that tells the tale of the storyteller left by his lover to ponder upon their past together. The song was first released by Bill Monroe and His Bluegrass Boys in 1956. The Dusters are the latest in a handful of bluegrassers who have recorded their take since its initial release. “Bill Monroe means a lot to a lot of musicians and is credited with creating his own genre of music that we know as bluegrass,” shared Jeremy Garrett, fiddle and vocals for the Dusters. “To me, one of the things I respect the most about his music was that he was an innovator. The Dusters have looked to take a page out of his book so to speak and have followed our own path to be innovators in the music that we’ve created together, along with exploiting the bluegrass foun ....
The Infamous Stringdusters Cover The Cure, Phish, Pink Floyd & More At B Chord Brewing Company Apr 18, 2021 Advertisement The Infamous Stringdusters continued their three-night stand at B Chord Brewing Company in Round Hill, Virginia on Saturday. The quintet delivered covers of The Cure, Phish, Pink Floyd and more for the second night of the run. The Infamous Stringdusters dobro player Andy Hall, banjoist Travis Book and guitarist Andy Falco got things underway with “Run To Heaven.” Falco sang lead on the tune which appears on The Dusters’ guest-filled 2016 album, Ladies & Gentleman, before the band dropped into a delightfully dark jam ahead of the song’s conclusion. The quintet then got into some cover material beginning with Hal Ketchum’s “Travelin’ Teardrop Blues” (also covered by Del McCoury) and JJ Cale’s “After Midnight,” which featured a “Travelin’ Teardrop” reprise. ....

Todd Sheaffer, lead singer and guitar player with Railroad Earth, headlined the first day of the festival. Music echoed through the valley as laser lights bounced off the hills in perfect harmony. There were plenty of happy folks and plenty of room to spread out and dance. Day number two was perfect sun-soaked bliss in the shadow of Horsetooth Mountain. Jeremy Garrett of The Infamous Stringdusters was the headliner. He was performing in a trio on fiddle, guitar, and vocals along with a bass player and drummer, a different and epic musical moment for all in attendance. The stage was packed all day with Bluegrass, Rock and Grateful Dead jams playing to an ever-growing audience. By night fall the lasers beamed off the foothills while the kids they danced ....
