Chief Justice Martel Popescul said the directive has been in the works for some time. The chief justices of the province’s courts meet yearly with media and were made aware of some challenges, he said.
“The problem that sometimes presents itself is the uneasiness or unclarity in the media’s process to make the request to broadcast all or parts of what they wish to present,” he said. “So arising out of those meetings, it was determined that it would be a good idea for the court to set down a process by which media outlets could make the application to the court to broadcast all or part of a proceeding, e ....

Culbertson, the Treaty Commissioner of Saskatchewan, is one of roughly 20 early adopters of the Treaty Land Sharing Network. The network, ranging from Cochin to south of Moose Jaw, is a group of farmers and ranchers placing signs on their properties notifying traditional land users they can gather medicine and plants, hunt and hold ceremonies there.
