Visa and Mastercard to block users subscribing to sex site Pornhub as move welcomed

A MOVE by Visa and Mastercard to block customers using their credit cards on Pornhub has been welcomed.
The credit card giants made the move following accusations last week that the pornographic website hosted unlawful sexual content.

Pornhub, which in 2019 attracted 42 billion visits to its website, has strenuously denied such allegations and last week announced steps to protect against images of abuse and non-consensual activity including a ban on unverified users uploading material.
CEO of the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre Noeline Blackwell said the decision by the credit card companies not to allow customers make purchases on the Pornhub website is “entirely correct”. ....
