This week’s MBT and KIOW Prep of the Week is a senior at Forest City High School. Kaylee Miller has recently climbed into the top-10 of all-time scoring and all-time games at Forest City. This past week, she scored four points, collected ten rebounds, and three assists, against Bishop Garrigan. In a win over Lake Mills, she scored 12 points, and had eight rebounds, two assists, four steals, was perfect from the free-throw line and shot 45 percent from the floor.

Mason City junior Jace Rhodes added another accomplishment to his wrestling resume on Friday night, as Rhodes beat Ankeny Centennial junior Drew Dunn to win the132 pound CIML Iowa conference
The Mason City girls basketball team ran into a buzz saw on Tuesday night, as the Mohawks fell to Johnston, 75-42.Â
The Mohawks kept pace with the Dragons early, as Mason City trailed the at the end of the first quarter, 15-10. But over the final three frames, Johnston outscored Mason City, 60-32. We got off to a good start but struggled to make shots consistently and Johnston gradually pulled away, Mason City head coach Curt Klaahsen said. Their balance on offense kept us off balance all night and they will be tough to stop the rest of the season.
