BATON ROUGE - As things slowly start going back to normal, people are coming out of their homes and flocking to restaurants.
“We’re definitely busier now than we were before the pandemic started,” said Trent Fresina, owner of Our Mom’s.
“It certainly seems like these loosened regulations have made people more comfortable coming out to eat, which is great for the restaurants all around town, that people are ready to get back to it,” said Jay Ducote, owner of Government Taco. ....

Burgersmith, a Louisiana-based restaurant with six locations, is now serving up the flavors of Mardi Gras via the Mardi Gras Mambo Burger. Local news station KATC reports that the restaurant hopes to inject patrons with the spirit of Mardi Gras even after this year’s parades were cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. “I think we’re all missing our Mardi Gras traditions this year, so we wanted a safe way for customers to keep the celebration going,” said Russ Umbricht, Burgersmith’s vic ....

The Mardi Gras Mambo Burger has returned to all six locations of Burgersmith in Louisiana.
The restaurant says it s a way to keep the spirit of the carnival season alive after this year s parades were cancelled due to the pandemic.
