Thursday Night Market returns to Downtown Chico Thursday
Several Chico businesses are excited about the return of Thursday Night Market on May 6.

CHICO, Calif. - Businesses like Sweet Chico Confections are hoping that having more people downtown for the market on Thursdays will give them a little boost after dealing with so many challenges due to the pandemic.
Nancy Carlson has been the owner of Sweet Chico Confections for the past 15 years.
She said not having the Thursday Night Market last year hurt the business financially.
“Revenues were down last year and a lot of it was people weren’t coming out but in a big event that draws maybe 10 thousand people every Thursday night market from April through September, you know that is a big decrease in sales and it was for us,” said Carlson.
