Patty's Place in Canandaigua changing with the times — just a little

Canandaigua’s oldest continuously operating restaurant made a few changes for COVID and convenience
CANANDAIGUA Starting Friday, you won’t need cash in your pocket to eat at Patty’s Place. Well, there is an ATM machine in the restaurant in case you’re strapped for cash. But these days most everyone pays with a card of some sort and Patty’s owner, Jenny Shedrick, said it’s time to accept them.
As of Dec. 18, Patty’s Place will provide Tap-to-Pay and contactless credit card payment options. But other than that, and a few COVID-related measures, Canandaigua’s oldest continuously operating restaurant is just the same. ....

An old favorite is changing things up.
Patty’s Place, which is located in downtown Canandaigua will start accepting credit cards.
They will offer a contactless payment method for those who are paying with something other than cash. It’s a big change, as recently reported in The Canandaigua Messenger. However, not an unexpected one given the trend in business.

Patty’s owner, Jenny Shedrick told the Messenger that it was time to move forward.
The restaurant is the city’s oldest, continually running location. While things have slowed down due to COVID-19 – Shedrick remains focused on doing good for the community. ....
