Bradford Crown Court A MAN has been warned that he is likely to go to jail for burgling a house in Bradford. Terrence Barlow pleaded guilty to entering the home on Halifax Road as a trespasser on June 27 and stealing £10. Barlow, 31, of Dodd Road, Watford, Hertfordshire, appeared before Bradford Crown Court yesterday morning on a video link to HMP Leeds where he is remanded. His barrister, Jessica Heggie, asked the court to adjourn sentence for a probation report, saying that he had been out of trouble for 11 years. The court as also told that he had nothing on his record for house burglary. ....
Thomas Kelly A MAN has been jailed for four years for knocking a pub customer to the ground and stamping on his head in a grievance about the death of a relative. Thomas Kelly, 27, of Royd Street, Wilsden, attacked his victim in the busy Wetherspoons in North Street, Keighley, on October 24 last year, Bradford Crown Court heard yesterday. Kelly, who was sentenced on a video link to HMP Leeds, pleaded guilty to unlawfully and maliciously wounding the man with intent to cause him grievous bodily harm. Prosecutor Jessica Heggie said the assault took place at 2pm when the pub was busy and children were present. ....
Nazir A teenager was forced off the road by pursuing police officers during a 110mph chase in which he jumped red lights and went the wrong way down a dual carriageway. Adam Nazir, 18, was subject to a suspended sentence order when he was spotted at the wheel of a Volkswagen Golf shortly after midnight on April 21, Bradford Crown Court heard today. Nazir, of Agar Street, Girlington, Bradford, was sent to a young offender institution for 18 months for driving dangerously in breach of the order imposed for a violent incident committed when he was in custody. Prosecutor Eleanor Durdy said Nazir pleaded guilty to dangerous driving and driving uninsured and without a licence. ....
