A 39-year-old man was charged with second-degree murder in the killing of 30-year-old Jeffrey Gerald Lehto. A second person now faces the same charge. The investigation began as an assault case just before 9:00 am on Tuesday when police to a call of an injured man on the 1700 block of Quebec Street. When they arrived, they found a man who had sustained serious injuries. He later died in hospital. 47-year-old Harvey Vince Huntinghawk has been charged with second-degree murder. ....
A second man has been charged in connection with Regina’s second murder of 2021. Harvey Vince Huntinghawk, 47, was charged with second-degree murder in the death of Jeffrey Gerald Lehto. Huntinghawk was to make his first appearance in Regina Provincial Court on Friday. The first person charged, Adam Hook, appeared in court Thursday and was remanded in custody until his next court date on Jan. 28. Just before 9 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to the 1700 block of Quebec Street for a report of an injured man. At the scene, police and EMS found Lehto, who had suffered serious injuries. Paramedics took him to hospital, where he died Wednesday. ....
