STORM Christoph has left its mark on Cheshire this week with heavy rain, snow and severe flooding.
The Environment Agency has issued a number of flood warnings and alerts throughout Northwich, Winsford, Middlewich, Knutsford and Wilmslow.
Most of these remain in place today, January 22, as areas like Northwich recover from devastating floods on Wednesday and Thursday.
As of 8.20am, the following flood warnings remain in place:
River Bollin and Agden Brook at Little Bollington
River Weaver at Anderton
River Weaver at Navigation Road and Marine Approach, Northwich

'Prepare for more rain and floods' says Environment Agency

Care home residents were among those evacuated due to floods in Northwich yesterday.
Storm Christoph is now set to give way to colder winter weather this weekend as rainfall begins to ease, according to the Met Office.
But Environment Secretary George Eustice said authorities are monitoring river levels in Yorkshire and preparing for more rain expected next week.
He said flooded properties are a “real tragedy” for anyone affected, with around 70 homes deluged in the recent adverse weather.
He told BBC Breakfast: “It is incredibly disruptive when people have their homes flooded, but around 26,000 homes have been protected from the various flood defence assets we have had in place. ....

Storm Christoph: Flooded Northwich retirement village residents stranded

Dozens of pensioners at a retirement village were stranded by flooding caused by Storm Christoph.
Residents and staff from Weaver Court in Northwich, Cheshire, were rescued by firefighters and taken to a nearby hotel in boats.
The village was surrounded by floodwater and had been without power since Wednesday evening.
Homes near Lymm were also among those flooded by the River Mersey with no way of stopping the water .
Earlier, Northwich councillor Sam Naylor said there was some concern about elderly residents and those with dementia, but said the 49 residents and staff at Weaver Court were safe and in good spirits . ....
