Floride drug trafficker caught with 78 pounds of meth sentenced in Montana

Tribune Staff BILLINGS A Florida man pulled over near Columbus by the Montana Highway Patrol with 78 pounds of meth was sentenced Tuesday in one of the state s largest drug seizures to date. Nicholas James Imhoff, 30, of Cape Coral, Fla., was sentenced to 11 years in prison and to five years of supervised release, according to a release from the U.S. Attorney s Office. The meth had an estimated street value of between $624,000 and $1.2 million. Imhoff pleaded guilty on Sept. 9, 2020, to possession with intent to distribute meth. U.S. District Judge Dana L. Christensen presided. “With this traffic stop of Mr. Imhoff’s vehicle, the Montana Highway Patrol prevented a staggering amount of nearly pure methamphetamine from hitting the streets and harming communities,  Acting U.S. Attorney Leif Johnson said. Felon sentenced to prison for firearms crime after shooting incident at Billings motel

BILLINGS – A man who admitted to illegally possessing a shotgun after a shooting incident at a Billings motel was sentenced Wednesday to 30 months in prison and three years of supervised release, Acting U.S. Attorney Leif Johnson said. Roderick Lee Little Bear, 39, of Billings, pleaded guilty on Sept. 3, 2020 to prohibited person in possession of a firearm. U.S. District Judge Susan P. Watters presided. In court documents filed in the case, the prosecution said that Little Bear was convicted of a state felony in 2016 and was revoked in 2018. On Oct. 17, 2017, Billings Police officers were dispatched to the Lazy KT Motel in Billings for a report that someone had shot a hole in the ceiling above a room with a shotgun. During the investigation, officers observed a suspect gray pickup return to the motel. Officers observed the driver exit the vehicle and a male, later identified as Little Bear, in the passenger seat. As officers approached the vehicle, they heard the sound of a
