Kathleen “Katie” Robey, a Marlborough City Councilor and one of the city’s most dedicated public servants, is also serving as the General Federation of Women’s Clubs Massachusetts director of junior clubs 2021-22.
A member of the GFWC Marlborough Junior Woman’s Club since 1996, Katie is the fourth MJWC member to have held the director position, including Marilyn Perry, Sheila Shea and Diane McCurley.
However, it is without question that Katie was in for a very different experience than the previous directors.
The GFWC MA Junior Membership had its Annual Meeting scheduled for April 25, 2020, at the Holiday Inn in Marlborough with the installation of officers scheduled for the evening.

Members of the Boyertown Junior Womanâs Club recently presented a check in the amount of $8,200 to Susan Lopez, director of the Boyertown Community Library.
The Junior Womanâs Clubâs donation was made possible because of the success of their Girlsâ Night Out Basket Raffle which was held on March 19 and 20 at Boyertown Community Library.Â
Lopez shared her excitement and recognized the donation as a tangible sign of both the Junior Womanâs Club s support of their mission and of the Clubâs participation in the community. The donated funds will be used to purchase new outdoor book returns.Â
