Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe’s nephew Patrick Zhuwao will be told to stop invading tourism facilities or face disciplinary action at a proposed crisis meeting with Vice President Joyce Mujuru, sources have said.
Impeccable sources told The Standard last week that Zanu PF officials told the Joint Monitoring and Implementation Committee (Jomic) that they had asked Mujuru to reign in the Zvimba East legislator.
This was after he openly defied Mujuru by threatening to re-invade tourist resorts along Lake Chivero despite the fact that his supporters were chased away by police last month. Jomic last week issued a hard-hitting statement on the invasions, which was jointly signed by representatives of the three parties in the unity government, including Zanu PF’s Oppah ....

A1 and A2 farms lead in veld fire frequency – RadioVop Zimbabwe

There are concerns that veld fire frequency in A1 and A2  farms is relatively high as compared to communal lands hence the need to put deterrent measures and continue to educate the resettled farmers on the need to safeguard their areas against veld fires.
This was heard during the launch of the National Fire Week by the Environmental Management Agency (EMA) at Gwebi Agricultural College on Wednesday

Siansali observed that incidences of veld fires are high in A1 and A2 farms and believes that it is because that  these areas are not under the jurisdiction of traditional chiefs who fine offenders. ....
