Appeal after road safety police officer mannequin 'kidnapped' from his post

Local people are appealing for help to find their road safety officer Allan after he was “kidnapped” from his post.
The mannequin, dressed as a police officer, has been stationed on the A93 for around two months to remind people driving into Braemar to observe the 30mph speed limit.
However on Saturday afternoon, he disappeared from the Aberdeenshire village, “and not of his own volition”.
Local Councillor Geva Blackett posted an appeal on her Facebook page urging people to help find Allan, who was last seen at his post at 1.30pm on Saturday.

Local people are appealing for help to find their road safety officer Allan after he was “kidnapped” from his post.
The mannequin, dressed as a police officer, has been stationed on the A93 for around two months to remind people driving into Braemar to observe the 30mph speed limit.
However on Saturday afternoon, he disappeared from the Aberdeenshire village, “and not of his own volition”.

Allan disappeared from his post on Saturday.
The mystery surrounding the disappearance of a north-east patrol officer has taken a worrying turn – after it emerged three men were spotted bundling him into the back of a car.
But despite concerning eye witness reports of men bundling the officer into a car, there was some good news as it emerged Allan’s “girlfriend”, Annette, would soon be stepping in to fulfil his duties.
Aberdeenshire councillor Geva Blackett took to social media to appeal for information after Allan’s disappearance on Saturday, in a post which has since gone viral. ....

A dummy police officer used to deter motorists from speeding through a rural Aberdeenshire village has been “kidnapped”.
The mannequin, known as Allan, formerly stood outside the Braemar youth hostel, reminding people driving into the community from the south on the A93 Braemar to Glenshee Road to slow down and observe the 30mph speed limit.
With his yellow high-visibility jacket, Allan protected children, pensioners and wildlife in the community from dangerously fast drivers. ....
