channel for the latest stories and updates.
One day I’m too depressed to leave the bed and just watch TV all the waking hours, another day I am on the Kerinchi Link in the hot sun, barefoot and directing traffic with a
keris; delusional and hallucinating that I’m a

This was the event leading to my diagnosis. I am bipolar.
The word bipolar means two extremes. For those experiencing bipolar disorder, life is split between two different realities – elation and depression.

The Compass Experiment's uncertain future - Columbia Journalism Review

The Compass Experiment’s uncertain future
An earlier version of this piece was featured in the Tow Center for Digital Journalism’s weekly newsletter.
In March 2019, Craig Forman, then McClatchy’s president and CEO, announced a new partnership with Google News’ Local Experiments project. Dubbed the Compass Experiment, its goal was to create three digital-only outlets in communities with little access to local news, with help from Google as a technology and innovation partner. Union criticizes McClatchy for firing of Idaho Statesman editor

Idaho’s largest daily newspaper abruptly changed editorial leadership Monday.
As of Monday, the Statesman’s top editor, Christina Lords, is no longer leading the newsroom after two years at the paper’s helm. A story on the paper’s website, written by “Statesman Staff” named Assistant Editor Chadd Cripe as the interim editor of the paper before they hire a replacement for Lords.
The story did not cite a reason for Lords’ departure. Jeanne Segal, director for McClatchy’s public relations and communications, did not answer a question from BoiseDev about why Lords was let go.
“We are grateful to Christina Lords for her work and her commitment to local journalism,” she said. ....
