Out & About: Sunapee Region Arts Atlas puts the ‘art’ in ‘cartography’

But looking at an atlas or GPS, it might not occur to someone to tie the Newport. N.H.-based and Washington, N.H.-based organizations together, two stops that a visitor can make in a single afternoon. Organizers of a new project hope to make those connections more apparent with a paper map and interactive website.

Associates used to visiting the motherhouse of the Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati, Ohio, found something unexpected in March 2020: They were locked out.
Chanin Wilson, director of associates for the congregation, said the lockdown like those imposed at convents around the world because of the coronavirus pandemic had to be done to protect the sisters inside. But it was still difficult for the associates.

LELAND, N.C. (WECT) - For 20 years, David Brent has lived in a cul-de-sac on Orchard Loop road in Leland, until this past Wednesday.
âI went out for a short period of time, got back and got out of my car and noticed a sign with a different street name, said Brent.â
All four homes on the what is now Homewood Ct have apparently been given new addresses. The homeowners arenât sure because they were never notified about the change.
