8 directives issued to face cyclone âYaasâ 154 DHAKA, May 24, 2021 (BSS) â The Water Resources Ministry has given eight directives including opening of control room in facing approaching cyclonic storm âYaasâ. An urgent meeting was held at the ministry conference to this end on Sunday, said a press release today. As per the decision taken in the meeting, the ministry has opened a control room to collect information and monitor Yaas (phone number 01318234560). A report will have to be sent to the ministry by May 24 after observing overall situation including embankments in coastal areas as per the directives. Necessary sand, Geo-bag and workers should be kept ready. Masks, oral saline and drinking water should be kept ready for distribution. ....
