Well respected Danny Wyllie of the Tamhorn herd takes to the limelight

A little bit of background?
I was born and bred at Holms Farm, Dalrymple, being the oldest of nine – five boys and four girls – there was never going to be enough work for all of us with our Ayrshire pedigree herd at the time.
I flew the nest in 1985 to become a shepherd with Robert Graham, Bridge of Allan, where I spent a good six years, being part of a team that was amongst the first Scottish importers of the Rouge de L’Ouest breed, along with working with pedigree Suffolks. There was always something new on the horizon for me then. ....

Bringing out pedigree cattle and a talent in halter making, Ian Matthew takes to the stage

Background?
I was born and bred at Flowerybrae, Memsie, where my father farmed. I came straight home to work alongside him after I left school with the commercial cattle, until I got married in August, 1972. I then worked at various commercial and dairy farms before getting started in the pedigree work.
My first pedigree job was at Harestone, where I brought out Charolais cattle for five years, before moving to the Durnos, at Uppermill, for a further five years.
It was at that point I moved to Inverurie and started my freelance work in 2001 – securing two days a week at Thainstone auction market and filling the rest of my days in with pedigree cattle. ....

A decade ago, the Rent Is Too Damn High Party became a viral sensation after a candidate for the New York governorship, Jimmy McMillan, announced lowering New York rent as his central platform. Now, over a decade later, rent prices in New York have finally started to fall. The pandemic-driven moratorium on evictions has likely played a role in declining prices in New York, but more of this change can likely be attributed to the phenomenon of people leaving cities in favor of suburban and rural areas. In fact, this migration out of major cities into the suburban and rural areas has been so pronounced that national rent prices have risen. Additionally, th ....

End of the Wembley era

John Phelan
AT approximately 5pm on Saturday, April 18, 1964, the Crook Town supporters in Wembley Stadium rose to applaud their team as they did a lap of honour round the famous pitch while holding aloft the FA Amateur Cup after beating Enfield 2-1 in the final.
It was Crook s fifth Amateur Cup success, and their fourth in 11 years. It followed their wins in 1901, 1954, 1959, 1962 and 1964, although the trophy was only won at Wembley in 1959 and 1964.
After the final at Wembley in 1954, two replays were needed, one at St James’ Park, Newcastle, the second at Ayresome Park, Middlesbrough, which resulted in a 1-0 win over Bishop Auckland. ....
