Building on last summer s exclusive Virtual Convention interview with Ashley division president Rick Coppola, BrandSource has prepared an extensive program of furniture-focused presentations for its spring meeting and expo under the group’s home furnishings merchandising director Seth Weisblatt. Dubbed The Furniture Channel, the lineup includes a series of one-on-one interviews with leading furniture industry execs and experts, including Michael Campbell, CEO of Leather Italia; David Crimmins, sales senior VP at Flexsteel; and a return engagement by Ashley s Coppola, who heads North American sales for the company. ....

BrandSource, the member-owned marketing and merchandising organization for independent furniture, appliance and CE dealers, reports that it has built in plenty of after-hours fun for this month’s Summit 21 meeting and product expo, running March 23-25. First out of the gate with the industry’s debut virtual convention last summer, BrandSource is now taking the digital format to the next level with a full lineup of interactive Social Hours during Summit. Running the gamut from standup comedy and a magic show to good old-fashioned happy hours, the 60-minute sessions will bridge the divide between on-site and online events by providing participants with the physical wares for fun. ....

After leading the way with the industry’s first Virtual Convention, and while awaiting conditions that are conducive to on-site shows, the group will take to the web again for a virtual version of the annual spring Summit, newly slated for March 23-25, 2021. “The safety of our members, vendors and employees is and always will be our top consideration,” explained AVB CEO Jim Ristow. “In-person events of this scale take months to plan and execute. With all the uncertainty concerning the pandemic, we felt it was important to make this call now and plan accordingly. While our first choice always is to meet with our members and partners in person, I am very excited about the way Summit 2021 is already ....
