Audain Foundation donates $4 million for public art project at new St. Paul's Hospital site

A major donation to a Vancouver hospital foundation will ensure that visual art engagement contributes to the healing process, including psychological and social wellbeing, for patients.
The St. Paul’s Foundation announced on April 7 that the Audain Foundation donated $4 million for public art to be a part of the new St. Paul’s Hospital at the Jim Pattison Medical Centre. The donation represents one of the largest grants the Audain Foundation has given among its over $133 grants given to registered charities with a visual arts focus.
Construction for the new $2.2 billion facility, located on an 18.4-acre site at the False Creek Flats, commenced on March 12, and it’s slated to officially open in 2027. It’s the most expensive healthcare facility to be built in Vancouver. ....

The program is made possible by a $4 million donation by the Audain Foundation, one of B.C.’s top philanthropic organizations.
