School Board Chairman Adam Gauthier confirmed the departure of Bea Douglas and Ted Mitchell, two long-time officials in town. Both had one year left on their terms. “Bea Douglas and Ted Mitchell have resigned due to health and personal reasons,” Gauthier said in an email. “It is unfortunate to lose them and the amount of experience that they brought to the table.” ....

Sheriff Jim Allard reports the arrest of a 24-year-old Cameron resident following an investigation into alleged child abuse. Gracie Schoffner, 24, is accused of failing to provide adequate housing and care for two dogs and a cat at her residence. She was charged with failure to provide proper sustenance, torturing, or injuring an animal. She was released to answer the charges at a later date- and the animals were turned over to the Finger Lakes SPCA. ....

Sheriff Jim Allard reports the arrest of a 35-year-old Woodhull man following an investigation into a one-car crash that happened in March. According to investigators, Timothy Decker, 35, left the scene of that crash, which happened on County Route 102. He struck a utility pole and left the scene without reporting it. The damage to the property exceeded $9,000, according to investigators. As result, Decker was charged with criminal mischief, leaving the scene of a crash, and failure to keep right. ....
