Chula Vista police arrested a 34-year-old woman they say led officers on a slow-speed, 20-mile pursuit that lasted more than an hour early Thursday.
The incident began about 12:20 a.m. when police tried to pull over the woman‘s vehicle after she ran a stop sign on Northwoods Drive near Woods Drive in a residential neighborhood in eastern Chula Vista, police said.
The woman, who was driving a blue Chrysler PT Cruiser, did not stop and instead led officers on a pursuit that mostly covered city streets, with the exception of a short period on state Route 125. Lt. Gino Grippo said the woman drove as slow as 5 mph on city streets and 15 mph on the freeway.
