Cop among four injured in Lyari attack July 27, 2021 A policeman and three others were wounded in a firing incident in the Lyari area on Monday. According to police, the incident took place in Lyari’s Memon Society within the limits of the Kalri police station. The injured persons were taken to the Dr Ruth KM Pfau Civil Hospital, Karachi, where the condition of one of the injured persons was said to be critical. The injured persons included a 46-year-old policeman, Aziz, son of Ali Murad, Zahid Baloch, 38, Ayaz Khan, 39 and 19-year-old Umair. SHO Arshad Khan said the incident took place at the al-Madina Hotel located in the Khadda Market area where two armed men riding a motorcycle opened fire on the people sitting at the eatery. The suspects managed to flee after committing the crime.

On Dec. 21, Karima Mehrab went for a walk alone along Toronto’s lakefront and never returned. Her husband reported her missing, and a day later, police found her body in the water. Less than 24 hours later, they concluded it was a “non-criminal death” with no foul play suspected. The Toronto Police Service declined to explain more.
